Nerja is located in the eastern part of Costa del Sol and tourism is not as large here as in the cities further west. It is approximately 50km from Malaga to Nerja. The only truly international tourist destination along this part of the coast is Nerja and here you can still see the traditional Andalusian white-washed houses. The landscape is more hilly here and the small beaches are nestled between high mountains and cliffs.
